SUMMARY:North Calgary FC - Juniors (Sandstone)
DESCRIPTION:The NCFC Juniors Program falls within the Discover Phase of NCFCs Player Development Phases (PDP).  In these training sessions\, players will be encouraged to be with a ball as much as possible.  All sessions in the Discover Phase will have a ball per player for at least 75% of the training session so they begin to feel comfortable on the ball. \nThe emphasis will be on teaching our younger players how to move and manipulate the ball. NCFC want to develop players who are confident and comfortable with the ball at their feet. We will also expose the players to game-realistic scenarios that will develop their dribbling and scoring (shooting) skills. This will come in the form of 1 vs. 1 situations\, and various fun activities with a focus on learning proper dribbling and kicking technique. It builds good soil structure; enables soil to retain nutrients\, water\, and air; protects against drought; helps maintain a neutral pH\, and protects plants from many diseases commonly found in the garden. \nFirst come\, first served. Two (2) buckets per household please. \n*WEATHER PERMITTING* \nTHANK YOU TO BIG MAN LANDSCAPING! \n \nCOMPOST FAQ \nCompost is a great way to provide natural\, organic nutrients to your lawns\, flower beds/pots and trees. Here are some common questions we get all the time that may help you when using compost for your yard. \nHow do I spread compost? \nThere are various ways to use your finished compost. You can sprinkle compost on top or mix it into your flower and vegetable beds\, gently rake compost into tree beds\, blend it with potting soil to revitalize indoor plants\, or spread it on top of the soil on your lawn as a soil amendment. \nBefore planting seeds or seedlings\, spread 2 inches of compost over the garden area\, then till the compost into the soil at a depth of 6 to 8 inches.
