DESCRIPTION:SMCA & BHCA COMMUNITY CLEANUP – RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 23!\n________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nCheck back here often – further details will be posted once they become available as the below Accepting/Not Accepting details are subject to change \nWHEN – Sunday\, August 23rd from 9am to 2pm (line-up cut off at 1:30pm) \nWHERE – located at the hockey rink at 355 Sandarac Drive NW \nWHAT – Community Cleanup events save residents a trip to the landfill for items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts or for residents who do not have cart service. For more information on the City’s Community Cleanup initiative and a list of other community cleanups happening this summer please visit – calgary/community-cleanups  \n\nCommunity cleanups are open to all Calgarians!\nContractors are NOT allowed to drop off materials\nFree event however donations to SMCA are accepted & appreciated\n\n*ACCEPTING* \n\n\n\nThe City of Calgary will be onsite with packer trucks with crews collecting solid waste (NO COMPOST truck this time)\nTechnoTrash will be onsite to recycle your electronics including laptops\, computers (or any subsequent parts)\, televisions\, microwaves\, printers\, batteries (not including alkaline batteries)\, telephones\, home theater equipment etc.\nALCOP Resource Recycling Inc will be onsite collecting any scrap metals\nSalvation Amy will be onsite collecting donations including Used Clothing; Small Appliances; Glass Wear; Dishes; Pots and Pans; Books; Small Audio Equipment; Sports Goods such as Balls\, Baseball Gloves\, Hockey sticks; Quilts and Table Clothes\n\n\n\n**NOT ACCEPTING** \n\n\n\nNO ORGANICS WILL BE ACCEPTED – NO COMPOST\nSand\, dirt\, bricks\, or concrete\nTires\nMattresses\nPaint\, oils or dangerous goods/chemicals\nPropane tanks\nBatteries\nCar seats\nGasoline Motor oil\, oil filters and containers \nBrake and transmission fluid\, antifreeze\nOld medication or medical waste (return to a pharmacist for disposal)\nWhat to do with those items above?
