
SMCA & BHCA COMMUNITY CLEANUP RETURNS FOR 2023!

WHEN – Sunday, June 25th from 9am to 2pm (line-up cut off at 1:30pm)
WHERE – located at the hockey rink at 355 Sandarac Drive NW
WHAT – Community Cleanup events save residents a trip to the landfill for items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts or for residents who do not have cart service. - Community cleanups are open to all Calgarians!
- Contractors are NOT allowed to drop off materials
- Free event however donations to SMCA are accepted & appreciated.
- ACCEPTING
- The City of Calgary will be onsite with packer trucks with crews collecting solid waste (NO Compost truck this time)
- BW Waste & Recycling will be onsite collecting metal…please review their Accepted/Prohibited List before bringing your metal
- Used Books
- We will also have a FREE TO TAKE area as in the past
- NOT ACCEPTING
- Tires
- Mattresses
- Paint, oils or dangerous goods/chemicals
- Propane tanks
- Batteries
- Fridges/freezers/appliances
- Car seats
- Gasoline Motor oil, oil filters and containers
- Brake and transmission fluid, antifreeze
- Old medication or medical waste (return to a pharmacist for disposal)
- NO ORGANIC WILL BE ACCEPTED – no compost, sand, dirt, bricks or concrete
